Preparing For the AP Exam

Every May is when the college board hold the AP exams. The students can take the tests according to their choices. I chose the AP World History test. Right now, we’re prepping for it. A large portion of the test score comes from two essays. The one that’s worth more points is called the DBQ, where we get a question and 7 short documents concerning the question. We get a total of 60 minutes to analyze the documents, and use them as evidence to answer the essay question. If we wanted to get a good score, then other than these documents, we also have to provide evidence beyond the documents, the information that we know to support our argument. It’s hard, because we have to memorize so much information, and then write them out in a very limited amount of time. Today we wrote an essay like that. I’m actually pretty confident about this essay, firstly because I’m quite familiar with the information behind the essay question, and secondly because I’ve gotten full credit on the previous times we’ve done these essays. I do hope I perform as well on the actual AP exam.
