This week at SHSID the students from grades four and five celebrated sports week with some fun and engaging activities.
The students were able to take part in various games and events throughout the week. It was very exciting to see the children take part in the different themes including sports hat day, sports socks day, and jersey day. Many of the students showed their school spirit through dressing up in very fun and creative ways.
OnMonday started the entertaining week with Sports Station. The activities included “ships and sailors”, “jump across the river”, “toss and catch”, “plank or balance” and “boxing”. It was so great to see the children laughing and enjoying their time.
The fun continued on Wednesday with a Sports Talk Show. We were all so impressed with the creativity and excitement that the students brought to their presentations. The Talk Show topics included football, tennis, golf, gymnastics artistic, and many other popular sports. The students had the opportunity to work together in groups and promote their teamwork and shared knowledge on these fun sports.
The week ended on Thursday with the students wrapping up sports week by engaging in team building activities. “Egg toss relay”, “three legged race”, “ball passing” and “human knot” were all greatly welcomed by the children. These activities were very successful in continuing to promote teamwork and sportsmanship. We were all so glad to see the students working together in competitive and exciting games with each other.
